CABEI seeks to promote its impact on Mesoamerican integration.

Tegucigalpa, February 12, 2019.- The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), which is a strategic partner of the Mesoamerica Project (MP), was invited to participate in the first meeting of the Executive Committee in the framework of the Pro Tempore Presidency held by Colombia during the first semester of 2019.

During the coordination meeting with the strategic partners of the MP, CABEI Executive Vice President, Attorney Alejandro Rodríguez Zamora, presented the contributions made to the Mesoamerican cooperation agenda, including those provided in 2018, as well as the participation foreseen in 2019.

In this context, he reiterated the institutional commitment to the connectivity, logistics and border integration agenda in Mesoamerica and his willingness to continue coordinating actions and complementing initiatives and projects with the MP and other partners.

As a strategic member of the Inter-Institutional Technical Group from 2008 to date, CABEI has financed US$2.57 billion in projects of regional impact in such sectors as electrical infrastructure and institutionality, interconnection of infrastructure and transportation services and social housing.
