Through financial allies, the Bank strengthened access to working capital for medium and large-scale companies, benefitting key sectors, and promoting employment.

Guatemala City, April 10, 2025.- In the first quarter of 2025, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) channeled $16 million to support medium and large-scale companies in Guatemala. These resources were intermediated by the Rural Development Bank (BANRURAL) and Financiera Consolidada (COFINSA), granting credits for work capital for $15 million and $1 million, respectively, for the benefit of their client companies.

The funds made it possible to support companies in the construction, industrial and service sectors, ensuring the continuity of their operations and their capacity to generate employment. In total, the beneficiary companies employ 1,760 persons, 32% of whom are women, thus contributing to the economic and social development of the country.

These disbursements come from CABEI's Program for the Promotion of Productive Sectors and Medium-Sized Companies, which seeks to increase the competitiveness and productivity of the business sector in the region. Through its network of financial intermediaries in the region, the Bank facilitates access to financing under favorable conditions, promoting economic growth in its member countries.

With this initiative, the Bank reinforces its role as a strategic ally of the business sector, facilitating financial solutions that promote growth, stability, and the creation of positions in Guatemala and the region.
