CABEI Executive President named into Vanderbilt University´s Graduate Research and Education Advisory Board

The purpose of the Graduate Research and Education Advisory Board is to support and foster the achievement of excellence in all aspects of graduate studies and research at the University.

Tegucigalpa August 19, 2020.-Vanderbilt University recognizes the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) Executive President, Dr. Dante Mossi, for his accomplishments and leadership, appointing him to their 2019-2020 Graduate Research and Education Advisory Board.

The Advisory Board includes distinguished global leaders who have exemplified the highest standard of excellence in their professional achievements in fields related to academia and research and will complement the Board of Members´ breadth of expertise and diversity of experiences.

The purpose of Vanderbilt´s Graduate Research and Education Advisory board is to provide strategic guidance and counsel. The board is instrumental in supporting the Graduate School´s mission by developing and nurturing valuable relationships across disciplines and industries and assisting in securing opportunities to advance initiatives within the School.

A graduate of Vanderbilt University himself, Dr. Dante Mossi holds a PhD in Economics with a concentration in Public Finance from the Graduate School. “In a globalized world, the role of research in academic institutions is essential to promote knowledge-driven, sustainable economic growth and prepare the next generation of leaders to problem-solve strategically within and outside academia”, expressed Dr. Dante Mossi.

CABEI recognizes the importance of education and research as drivers of socioeconomic development and important factors for ensuring gender equality, social inclusion and poverty reduction. CABEI´s 2020-2024 Institutional Strategy promotes investments in education as well as research, development and innovation to improve the human capital and productive capacity of its member countries.
