The Bank adjusts its operation to ensure business continuity and health protection in the face of the international health emergency.

Tegucigalpa, March 18, 2020.- In line with the international health emergency and through its contingency plans the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) guarantees the protection of its employees, clients, suppliers and members.

Until further notice, CABEI has implemented the temporary closure of its facilities. Likewise, it has set up teleworking systems and online meetings in order to ensure the operational continuity of all its products and programs to its members and the community in general.

CABEI Executive President Dr. Dante Mossi appealed to the sense of responsibility of all the Bank's collaborators to guarantee service continuity, stating that, “CABEI has implemented a series of measures in all its work centers to ensure normal and continued operation.”

An example of the aforementioned has been the quick and effective management of the donation resources made available by CABEI to the countries of the Central American Integration System (SICA).

In its role as a promoter of economic integration and the economic and social development in its member countries, the Bank has modified its guidance in order to minimize negative effects in the face of this emergency.

CABEI ratifies its commitment to the region and will continue working towards promoting support to the economic activities of its member countries subsequent to the international emergency.
