CABEI and Nicaraguan Government agree to deobligate Police loan

Tegucigalpa, March 23, 2020.- In agreement with the Government of the Republic of Nicaragua, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) informs that it has deobligated the balance of US$7.6 million from the loan for the project denominated, "National Expansion of Rural Police Coverage to Strengthen Citizen Security.” The project's agreement was signed between CABEI and the Republic of Nicaragua on April 30, 2014.

CABEI attests that the resources of this loan have been used pursuant to its contractual terms under its current norms and standardized control and supervision mechanisms for all loans granted by the Bank. The deobligated status indicates the total release of CABEI's commitment to make disbursements to the aforementioned loan.

CABEI reiterates its commitment to the construction and development of a prosperous Central American region by supporting its member countries with the new challenges and obstacles facing the region and world.
