Last October, CABEI approved a non-reimbursable technical cooperation for an amount of up to US$635,355.00 to advance on the preparation of the Master Participatory Development Plan for the Trifinio region.

Tegucigalpa, December 5, 2019.- The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) participated in the meeting of the Trifinio Plan Trinational Commission  to present advances in the process of formulation of the Participatory Master Plan for the Trifinio Region (Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador).

In its presentation, CABEI informed that since the approval of the non-reimbursable technical cooperation for the preparation of the Master Plan, the bidding process of the consulting firm that will prepare said Plan has advanced. It is estimated that the consultancy will start in March of 2020 during a six month period.

The consulting firm will be implementing a Plan that will include the elaboration of a baseline diagnosis in the Trifinio Regio;, a document of evaluation and quantification of the development gaps between the three countries of the region; strategic guidelines of the identified gaps; proposal document for strengthening the legal, regulatory and institutional framework; a strategy for the promotion and attraction of investment in the Trifinio Region; general recommendations or guidelines; and an action plan for the implementation of such recommendations.

The implementation of this Plan is a reflection of CABEI's commitment to regional initiatives and the development of value proposals with a focus on integration between countries and their territories.
