CABEI and Argentine foreign policy professionals organize event on International Cooperation in Science, Technology and Innovation for Latin American Development

Buenos Aires, June 4, 2021 - The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) and the Argentine Network of Foreign Policy Professionals (REDAPPE) are organizing the webinar "International Cooperation in Science, Technology and Innovation for Inclusive and Sustainable Development in Latin America" on June 11 with the aim of exploring the cooperation dimension at the regional level to achieve inclusive and sustainable development models.

The event will address different initiatives in the field of international cooperation for the strengthening of public policies for education and scientific development in Latin America. In addition, speakers will present their ideas regarding innovation policies and 4.0 productivity in the productive sectors.

In relation to this initiative, CABEI President Dr. Dante Mossi stated, "Argentina is a key player in the region's innovation and scientific and technological development processes; therefore, we are committed to generating spaces for exchange and collaboration with different organizations and entities that work in international cooperation and integration, precisely in order to adopt best practices and promote greater competitiveness.

Among the speakers will be CABEI Director for Argentina and Colombia, Maximiliano Alonso; Guillermo Anlló, Regional Manager for the UNESCO Science, Technology and Innovation Policy Program for Latin America and the Caribbean; María Appolito, Undersecretary of Knowledge Economy of the National Ministry of Productive Development; and Lucas Becerrra, researcher and specialist in science, technology and innovation policies for inclusive and sustainable development in Argentina.

The presentation moderator will be Gabriela Bortz, member of REDAPPE. The open and free presentations will be held on June 11 at 12:00 p.m. (Argentina) and 9:00 a.m. (Central America).

The Argentine Network of Professionals for Foreign Policy (REDAPPE) is a non-profit civil association made up of professionals from all over the country linked to international relations from the public and private sectors, academia and civil society organizations.
