CABEI and OEI sign memorandum of understanding for the development of innovation and digital transformation initiatives in Central America

Madrid, March 29th, 2023.- In order to explore new opportunities and develop joint initiatives for innovation and digital transformation in Central America, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) headed by its President, Dr. Dante Mossi, signed a memorandum of understanding with Mario Jabonero, Secretary General of the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI).

During the signing of the memorandum, the areas of collaboration were specified, including support for the Regional Center for Innovation and Technology (CRIT), the promotion of joint activities and plans with an academic, technological, scientific and innovation focus. In addition, sharing successful experiences in studies, working documents and projects related to innovation and digital transformation.

"We believe that innovation and digital transformation in our region is a relevant issue for implementing key development projects. With this signing, we ratify our commitment to Central America to strengthen modernization and innovation through the exchange of information, knowledge, research and the strengthening of alliances," said Mossi.

This important signing, which took place within the framework of the first CABEI Board of Directors meeting at its Madrid office in Spain, is a gateway to strengthening capacities and the exchange of best practices.
