CABEI and the Latin American Reserve Fund hold a successful Seminar on Credit Risks

The meeting is being held in San José with 50 participants from different countries and renowned panelists.

San José, September 27, 2024. The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) and the Latin American Reserve Fund (FLAR) joined forces to hold the “V Seminar on Credit Risk” in San José, Costa Rica. The seminar created a space for the exchange of ideas and the presentation of innovative solutions, with the objective of improving risk management tools and contributing to the sustainable growth of its member countries.

The event brought together credit risk specialists from all over the region, as well as expert panelists such as Juan Muñoz Giró (University of Costa Rica), Robert O. Abad (Western Asset Management), María Camila Bernal (BNP Paribas), Diego Agüero Morera (Central Bank of Costa Rica) and Joselo Peña Contreras (FLAR), and CABEI's manager in Costa Rica, Álvaro Alfaro, who spoke about crucial issues for the region such as credit risk management, liquidity risk mitigation, innovative approaches to capital adequacy in emerging markets, among others.

The collaboration between FLAR and CABEI strengthens the commitment both institutions have regarding economic stability and financial development in Latin America and the Caribbean. This seminar is an important step towards the implementation of sustainable solutions that contribute to growth and stability in member countries.
