Panama City, May 30th, 2023 - In order to address various issues inherent to sustainable economy and the challenges to achieve it, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) and the British Embassy in Panama joined forces to organize the conference "Green Growth: The Challenge of Sustainability" to be held in the country on May 31.

During the meeting, talks will be given on how sustainable economic and social development can be achieved without depleting natural resources or degrading the environment, while promoting energy efficiency, biodiversity conservation and social equity.

The event will be an important opportunity to bring together relevant national stakeholders on issues such as energy, infrastructure, environmental protection, among others, in which CABEI professionals will moderate the discussions.

Also in attendance will be Baroness Gloria Hooper, Trade Envoy of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Member of the House of Lords of the British Parliament, as well as His Excellency Tim Stew MBE, Her Majesty's Ambassador to Panama.

CABEI, through initiatives such as these, seeks to promote spaces for discussion, aware of the challenge that green growth represents for the region, which implies a change in the way goods and services are produced and consumed, as well as in business policies and practices.
