The meeting was held during the inauguration week of CABEI's representative office in Madrid, Spain.

Madrid, February 15th, 2023 - To renew its commitment to work together and promote the participation of Spanish companies in projects and initiatives benefiting the Central American region, a mission of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) met with representatives of the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE) on Wednesday.

The meeting addressed issues such as the development of commercial exchanges between Spanish and Central American companies and strategic sectors, as well as training activities in the industrial and technological sectors for application in CABEI programs in its member countries, in addition to the collaboration of both organizations in social initiatives.

"We are very pleased to continue strengthening our relationship with the CEOE and thereby reaffirming our role as the bridge of opportunities between the region and the world, because we are sure that together we will bring Spain and the Central American region even closer together, generating business opportunities and opportunities for people," said CABEI Executive President, Dr. Dante Mossi.

For his part, the vice-president of CEOE, Íñigo Fernández de Mesa, said that Central America "is a region that arouses great interest among Spanish companies, especially for its potential in the fields of tourism, clean energy, digitalization and infrastructure", and therefore encouraged further strengthening the ties of collaboration.

Likewise, the president of CEOE International, Marta Blanco, indicated that CABEI is "an important partner because of its commitment to trade, sustainability and SMEs, with which we have had an institutional relationship for some time and which we hope will be strengthened by the recently opened headquarters in Madrid".

The Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE), founded in June 1977, is an organization that represents Spanish businessmen, integrates companies from all sectors and focuses its important work on helping them both within the local Spanish environment and internationally.

With the opening of the CABEI Representative Office in Madrid, CABEI seeks to identify investment opportunities and strengthen ties that ensure active collaboration between Spain and Europe with the Central American region.
