CABEI to participate in 2022 International Monetary Fund and World Bank Annual Meetings

Seminars, conferences and briefings with the participation of economic authorities from various countries, the private sector, academia, the press and representatives of civil society will be held in Washington D.C. between October 10 and 16.

Tegucigalpa, October 13th, 2022.- As the most relevant Bank and the one that channels the most support to the Central American region for the development of projects that improve the quality of life of its inhabitants, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) will be part of the "2022 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WBG)" that will take place this week.

From October 10 to 16, in Washington D.C., United States, ministers of finance and development, private sector executives, academia, the press and representatives of civil society will participate in various activities such as seminars, conferences and briefings to discuss issues of global importance such as economic prospects, poverty eradication, inclusive economic growth, employment and climate change, among others.

"We are pleased to participate in this space of global importance where perceptions are exchanged and important decisions are made for the benefit of those who need it most. CABEI, as the Bank of Central Americans, will continue to ensure that it remains the effective and timely financial arm for the economic and social development of our countries, as well as a bridge in the region and the world," said CABEI Executive President, Dr. Dante Mossi.

Accompanied by a high-level CABEI delegation, Dr. Mossi participated in a discussion on how the world faces the challenges of high inflation, imminent recession and a potential new world order, presenting topics such as global macroeconomic perspectives, how to finance the crisis, emerging market growth, the new world order, among others.

Also, in a round table on risk management with speakers from the White House, a discussion on Nearshoring with CEOs and in the introduction of new strategic projects for the region by HUGE Founders.
