Seventh edition of the Call for Papers

The General Secretariat of the Central American Integration System (SICA), the Secretariat for Central American Economic Integration (SIECA), and the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) announce the launch of the seventh edition of the Call for Papers.

The initiative invites professionals, academics, researchers, and public officials of any nationality to submit articles offering innovative, evidence-based proposals. The objective is to generate strategic knowledge that contributes to institutional strengthening, regional cohesion, and the well-being of Central American citizens.

Articles should address structural or emerging challenges from a regional perspective and propose relevant solutions that drive a transformative agenda for Central America.

The submission period will be open from July 14 to November 1, 2025. Each participant or team may submit a single article, in accordance with the guidelines and criteria established in the call for proposals available on the SIECA website.

The best articles will be recognized at a joint ceremony organized by CABEI, SIECA, and SG-SICA in December 2025. Three main prizes will be awarded:

• First Place: USD 3,000
• Second Place: USD 2,000
• Third Place: USD 1,000

In addition, the winning authors will have the opportunity to publish and access academic benefits.
