PROJECTS
Coral Highway Project
It consisted of the construction of a 70-kilometer-long, 4-lane highway, for which financing of US$70.0 million was allocated.
Improvement and Expansion of the Eastern Road Corridor for road sections
San Pedro de Macorís-La Romana Section, La Romana Beltway Section and Eastern Tourist Boulevard Section, totaling 78 kilometers in length and representing the best road infrastructure in the country.
Palomino Hydroelectric Project
With a clean and renewable energy generation capacity of 80 megawatts, it is located in the Province of San Juan. For its execution, the Bank allocated financing for a total amount of US$ 130.0 million
Construction of a 50-kilometer gas pipeline in San Pedro de Macorís
Loan in favor of AES Dominicana for a total amount of US$54.00 million.

Dominican Republic's Health System to receive 200 new ambulances with CABEI support
The new units are expected to benefit more than 9 million Dominicans with access to the 9-1-1 System.
Buenos Aires, November 1st, 2022 - The Central American Bank for Economic Integration plans to contribute to increasing the coverage and quality of medical emergency services in the Dominican Republic with the approval of US$30 million to be used for the purchase of 200 ambulances to support the Health System.
The Ambulance Supply Program is expected to benefit more than 9 million people by increasing the vehicle fleet to meet the current and future demand for emergency care nationwide.
"We continue to support the Dominican Republic in its efforts to strengthen its health system. The acquisition of this important equipment will translate into an effective, fast, safe and quality service for the population requiring medical assistance," said CABEI Executive President, Dr. Dante Mossi.
Of the total amount of the Program, US$22.5 million will be financed with Bank resources and US$7.5 million will be contributed by the Republic of Korea through the Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF) via the Export-Import Bank of Korea (Korea Eximbank) and CABEI.
The combination of the financial conditions of each of the sources of funds provides an indicative weighted annual interest rate of 5.0% and a weighted term of 14.6 years.
