The program contemplates the financing of US$ 50 million for the construction, improvement and equipping of 31 Integral Territorial Centers for the assistance and containment of people who suffer gender-based violence and a new headquarters for the Ministry of Women, Gender and Diversity.

Territorial Centers

The Territorial Centers are 600 square meter spaces with a dynamic and flexible design to promote comprehensive care with interdisciplinary teams (lawyers, psychologists and social workers) in coordination with community organizations. This is a milestone for CABEI since it is the first time since its foundation that it has financed a project aimed at combating gender-based violence.

Construction will begin on 14 Territorial Centers, which constitute the first stage of the project. They will be located in the provinces of Buenos Aires, La Pampa, Santa Fe, Santiago del Estero, Chaco, Formosa, Misiones, Tucumán, Catamarca, La Rioja, San Luis and Santa Cruz. In the next stage, the construction of all the Centers will be completed, guaranteeing at least one Territorial Center in each province of the country and in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.

These centers will have spaces for training, prevention and equality promotion activities and, in some cases, for housing people in contexts of gender-based violence and their children.

New headquarters of the Ministry of Women, Gender and Diversity

On December 10, 2019, the Argentine State created this new portfolio. Currently it has a very small space and due to the pandemic context, part of its workers are performing tasks remotely.

CABEI finances the repair and enhancement of an old 7,000 square meter building in the Barracas neighborhood in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.

The building will be made up of a basement, four office floors and the fifth floor will be transformed into a dining room. It will have a total area of 8,000 square meters and will have the capacity to accommodate 800 people from the Ministry's orbit.

It will be a friendly space for sexual diversity and will have all the corresponding adaptations for people with disabilities. The work began on February 11, 2021 and it is estimated that the first stage will be completed by the end of the year.

The financing conditions are established in a 20-year term with a 5-year grace period; and a 6-month LIBOR rate + 240 points (reviewable).
