The multilateral has concentrated its operations for the progress of the country in key sectors such as health, education, energy, environment, social and productive infrastructure, and financial intermediation, among others. The active project portfolio as of June 1, 2022 amounts to US$1,707.20 million.

In 2021, loan approvals amounted to US$720.3 million and over US$9.0 million in grants and donations. Disbursements that year amounted to US$253.4 million, of which 53.9% went to the sovereign public sector, 44.4% to the private sector, 0.6% to the non-sovereign public sector, and 1.1% to donations and grants.
