CABEI will not finance operations, programs or projects related to:

a. Production or activities that involve some form of forced labor or human trafficking.

b. Production of any product or trade in any activity considered illegal in the legislation or regulations of the country receiving the financial resources or in international conventions or agreements.

c. Production or trade in arms and ammunition or other activities related to the war industry.

d. Games of chance, casinos, and equivalent companies.

e. Trade in wild fauna or flora or products of wild fauna or flora protected by national or international legislation.

f. Production or trade in radioactive materials.

g. Production or trade of unbound asbestos fibers or their use.

h. Commercial forest exploitation operations or purchase of forest exploitation equipment for use in humid primary tropical forests.

i. Production or trade of products containing highly toxic chemicals.

j. Production or trade of pharmaceutical products subject to phase-out or international prohibition.

k. Production or trade of pesticides or herbicides or any agrochemical subject to phase-out or international prohibition.

l. Production or trade in substances that deplete the ozone layer subject to phase-out or international prohibition.

m. Drift-net fishing in the marine environment with nets of more than 2.5 km long.

n. Production, trade or manufacture of drugs or psychotropic substances considered illegal.

o. Activities that, by their nature, are contrary to the Environmental Policy of CABEI or of the country where the operation is carried out.

p. Activities that, by their nature, are contrary to the ethical and moral principles enshrined in the CABEI Code of Ethics and its complementary standards.

q. Financing of energy generation projects based on mineral coal and the exploration and / or extraction of mineral coal.

r. Those activities considered excluded from the List of High Risk Activities, Products and Services, in accordance with the regulations on Risk Management of Money Laundering, Financing of Terrorism, Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction, Integrity and Sanctions.
